Mordred the Damned - July 2007
I chose to work on this sculpt to practise the technique I have been using to paint flesh (by shading down and up with warm/ cold colours - read the write up for this miniature)
I was interested to see if it could be applied by using a base skintone that was not flesh coloured, and make it look natural, like skin. I think it worked out very well, in fact I am very happy how this piece turned out ( I only wish it could photograph better, but unfortunately this style of painting is dependant on natural light to reflect the depth of colour. You are just going to have to visualise it in your hand and rotating it to absorb light)
